Across the Pontiac, residents marked Remembrance Day Wednesday, marking the 102nd anniversary of the armistice signed on November 11, 1918, ending the First World War (1914-18). The celebration of this day has taken a discreet turn this year in order to respect the distancing measures. The organizer of this commemoration, Pierre Bourassa, said he was satisfied with the public participation.

Nearly thirty people were on the scene. Pierre Bourassa also revealed that a fundraising campaign would be launched to raise funds intended to install a new monument in order to add the names of other veterans of the Canadian Army.

The French interview with Pierre Bourassa is available here.
