Citizens of the Fort Coulonge and Mansfield area are invited to attend a meeting held by the Fort Coulonge Golden Age Club on their future survival. An invitation to the meeting by the club’s directors outlining their difficulties has been circulating on social media. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on September 15, at 566 rue Baume.

The club was severely impacted by COVID-19, and during the pandemic the club was unable to organize their usual events and access to their hall was limited. Also, due to a decrease in recruitment, there was an increased workload for some long-standing volunteers.

At the meeting the group will be discussing its options to keep the club alive and preserve their hall.
