The novel coronavirus has made its first related death in the region.

The victim was hospitalized at the COVID-19 designated unit at the Hull Hospital, according to information from Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de l’Outaouais, on Friday.

« It is therefore more important than ever not to stop our efforts to prevent further deaths, said the CISSS de l’Outaouais in a press release. Following the instructions remains our best way to fight the pandemic. »

The count of confirmed cases in the Outaouais area now stands at 192 cases According to the updated regional data, the MRC Pontiac still counts 5 or less cases on its territory.
