Financial support for 11 artistic projects in Outaouais
The Pontiac MRC has partnered with the Quebec Arts and Letters Council Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, the City of Gatineau, and the Collines-de-l’Outaouais, Papineau and Gatineau Valley MRCs to provide $113,900 to six artists and five professional arts organizations under the Outaouais Arts and Letters Program Programme pour les arts et les lettres de l’Outaouais.
Among the artistic organizations are the Cercle des amis et amies de Norteño in Gatineau, which plans to perform a dozen free concerts not only in Gatineau, but also in the Pontiac, Collines, Gatineau Valley and Of Papineau MRCs.
The Program aims to provide financial support to Outaouais creators and arts organizations, thanks to the Territorial Partnership Agreement on artistic creation and its distribution in the Outaouais region signed in March 2016 by the various partners. A total of $ 380,500 will be allocated from 2015 to 2018.
