Repair work on the Eardley-Masham Road between Bradley Road in the Municipality of Pontiac and Sincennes Road in La Pêche began this week. The road in question was closed last April due to flood damage.
According to the Quebec Ministry of Transportation, several major works are needed before the reopening of the road, including the replacement of two culverts as well as partial reconstructions of the road at various locations. The Ministry says it wants to be able to reopen the road to traffic this fall, but reminds residents that the road will remain closed to traffic until the end of the work, which could vary depending on weather conditions or operational constraints.
The Ministry also reminds drivers to respect the signs that have been put in place and not to circulate on the Eardley road and invites them to learn about the obstacles currently underway by consulting Quebec 511 in order to plan their travel appropriately.
