Two people have been arrested following a police raid on a home in Davidson on February 1. Following a search at a residence on rue Thomas-Lefebvre in Mansfield, the police seized more than 230 methamphetamine tablets, more than 85 grams of cannabis, 10 grams of hashish, 2 prohibited weapons, ammunition and $2,175 in cash.

A 24-year-old man was arrested and released with a promise to appear. He is scheduled to appear at the Campbell’s Bay Courthouse at a later date where he could face charges of drug trafficking, firearms offences, cannabis and breach of recognizance. A 38-year-old woman was also arrested and later released on summons. She is due back in court at the Campbell’s Bay Courthouse at a later date. She could face charges of possession of narcotics.

The raid was part of the ACCES-Cannabis program, whose mission is to reduce the accessibility of illicit cannabis on the Quebec market, particularly among young people, and to reduce unfair competition from illegal producers and traffickers against the SQDC.
