Class action Lawsuit for the flood victims of secondary homes

During the meeting held on Monday in the municipality of L’Isle-Aux-Allumettes, Father Tim Moyle of the St-Alphose parish spoke about the Class action lawsuit he is currently filing with the law firm Nelligan O’Brien and Payne in Ottawa. This Class Action is being filed on behalf of the flood victims who will not be compensated by the Ministry of Public Security for their secondary homes or cottages.

A meeting will be held this Friday with the Law Firm to determine how they will proceed with the Class action. In an interview, Father Tim Moyle gave his predictions for the meeting to come.

During Monday’s meeting, the Warden of the MRC, Jane Toller voiced her opinion on the subject in favour of compensation for the Victims of Secondary homes and Cottages.
