Like the Fort-Coulonge/Mansfield Country Festival and the Shawville Fair, Outaouais en Fête, which celebrates Quebec’s national holiday, had to cancel this year’s edition because of the measures surrounding the COVID-19.
The president of Impératif Français, Jean-Paul Perreault, indicated that his organization was working on the 2021 edition, but that the cancellation of the 2020 event which was set to take place in June will have economic repercussions.
Impératif Français had also to cancel the Franco-fête which was supposed to be held in March. Besides, according to Jean-Paul Perrault, the awards ceremony will still take place soon. A prize should also be awarded to a student at the École secondaire Sieur-de-Coulonge.
