Events have been planned for Canada Day all over the Pontiac. On Saturday, a celebration has been planned to benefit the Mansfield volunteer firefighter which will take place at Park Amyotte.

The municipality of Sheenboro will begin its day with a Mass at l’Église St-Paul l’Hermite to be followed by many activities throughout the day, including a silent auction, a horseshoe tournament, a parade and several outdoor games for all the family.

The Otter Lake Recreation Association is preparing for a parade starting at 11 am, followed by outdoor activities, including a horseshoe tournament and a canoe race, before concluding the day with musical performances and fireworks. The Parc Leslie also has several activities on the go from 10 am, free of charge.

Shawville will also celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation with a carnival, farmer’s market and magic shows are to be expected. The following day there will be a cars shows and other activities.
