COVID-19 in the Outaouais – Update on March 25th

26 March 2020 à 12:00 am

An additional case of COVID-19 was added to the Outaouais report Wednesday afternoon, bringing the total number to 13 cases. To date, the Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de l’Outaouais reports that it has carried out 1,667 screening tests, of which 667 are awaiting results.

The establishment says it is reviewing daily needs regarding the COVID-19 pandemic in the region, and that it is ready to review the screening services if necessary. The new measures should be announced shortly to support the population during the crisis.

Note that the CISSS de l’Outaouais indicated Tuesday that it is “likely” that people infected with COVID-19 have moved around in the region in recent days and that community transmission of the virus is underway. To find out what measures are in place to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus, the public is invited to consult: quebec.ca/coronavirus.
