“Nothing works anymore at the CISSSO,” according to a press release issued by the Union of Outaouais Healthcare and Social Services Workers for the CSN in response to the centralization of the kitchen services Centre intégré de Santé et de services sociaux de l’Outaouais, announced a few days ago. The president of the Outaouais Union of Health and Social Services Workers , Josée McMillan, puts the situation in context by saying that they were never consulted during the decision making process.

The President of Central Council of National Trade Unions of the Outaouais-CSN, Michel Quijada, would like to see the decentralization of services, and deplores the lack of citizens and workers sitting on the boards of directors.

Remember that the announcement of the centralization of CISSSO kitchens was made a few days after the release of the report on healthcare and social services in the Pontiac. Nearly twenty kitchens serve food at the healthcare centres in the Outaouais region currently. By the end of the project, there will be four. Old kitchens will become distribution centers.
