Pontiac Community Radio is inviting local students to participate in the CHIP 101.9 Christmas drawing contest. This year’s theme is “Draw us your most beautiful elf.”

Thanks to financial assistance from the Knights of Columbus, the radio station was able to expand the contest to high school students, in addition to kindergarten through grade 6 students, who are part of the contest each year. Geneviève Gagnon, director of communications and contest organizer, explained:

Until Friday, December 16, 2022 at 4 p.m., Pontiac students can submit ONE original elf drawing to the station (138 rue Principale, Fort-Coulonge). The contest is divided into 4 age categories, with three prizes to be won per category for best drawing as well as a multiple participation prizes. Gagnon explained that the drawings will be judged by the originality and technique.

The drawing must be done on a white sheet of paper (8 ½ x 11), with colored pencils or  marker. No drawings with crafts, glitter, wax crayons, collages, copies of designs (eg. coloring books) or other materials will be accepted. On the back of the drawing, the student must write their name, age, telephone number and school grade.

The winners will be announced by Santa Claus live on CHIP 101.9 on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at 6 p.m.
