Bouffe Pontiac Food Drive 2019

Bouffe Pontiac Food Drive 2019

6 December 2019 à 12:00 am

Forty volunteers were deployed in three municipalities in the Pontiac this morning to collect donations from drivers as part of the 2019 Bouffe Pontiac food drive. According to Rhonda Perry, the director general of the SADC Pontiac, who was in the municipality of L’Isle-aux-Allumettes this morning, she said they allocate volunteers each year to take part in the food drive and that throughout the years, people now know and are ready to give.

The food drive was held from 6am to 9am this morning at intersections in the municipalities of Shawville, L’Isle-aux-Allumettes and Campbell’s Bay, but, according to the chair of the Bouffe Pontiac Board of Directors, Martin Riopel, it is still possible to give to the cause over the next few days by other means.

This year, Bouffe Pontiac hopes to reach a goal of $ 10,000 in cash donations, as explained by the director of the organization, Kim Laroche.

In 2018, the organization raised a total of $ 8,850 and 335 kilograms of food during the food drive.
