A sign that the federal deputy for Pontiac, William Amos, is back in office, he published comments congratulating the new Governor General Mary Simon and then he underlined the investments of the Government of Canada “which will allow young people to have the support and the opportunities they need to build long and good careers,” said the member for Pontiac.

William Amos, announced that under the Canada Summer Jobs program, more than 520 job opportunities are available to young people in the riding of Pontiac. “This represents an investment of more than $ 1.8 million in the MRCs of Pontiac, Vallée-de-la-Gatineau and Collines-de-l’Outaouais and the Gatineau sectors of Plateau, Limbour and northern Aylmer. By comparison, in 2015 investments in the Canada Summer Jobs program were less than $ 350,000, ”said William Amos.

This year, Canada Summer Jobs is exceeding expectations in supporting and supporting young people during this pandemic. With the record 150,000 job openings available, more young Canadians across the country will be able to find jobs and gain valuable work experience, which will follow them for the rest of their lives. There is only one way to describe the fundraising actions that we have taken, that we continue to take, to benefit young Canadians: It is revolutionary. Our plan for a strong economic recovery includes young people and recognizes their importance to our future. We will always be there to support the next generation »
– Carla Qualtrough, Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Disability Inclusion,

In response to the current pandemic, the government is allowing employers to hire full-time and part-time youth beyond the summer period.

This past year, COVID-19 has forced young people across Canada to follow a difficult journey; Pontiac youth included. Currently, many of them are looking for secure employment. With a record number of job postings, the Canada Summer Jobs program can help them earn money, mature professionally and start a new chapter in their lives. I strongly encourage young people in Pontiac who are looking for work to go to Job Bank and explore the employment opportunities that Canada Summer Jobs offers them in our community.
– William Amos, MP for Pontiac

Recall that the member for Pontiac, William Amos, revealed last week that he had taken three weeks off following the most recent incident, where he was seen during a meeting urinating in a coffee cup. He says he took this time to devote himself to a health plan to help him complete one task at a time. It was the first press release involving him since last May.
