Another interruption of service is still currently being advised for the obstetrics wing at the Pontiac Community Hospital in Shawville due to a shortage of nurses. Until tomorrow, pregnant women in the area will have to travel to the Gatineau Hospital to give birth.

The Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de l’Outaouais announced yesterday, that this interruption remains in effect until tomorrow morning at 8am.

In the last days, CISSS de l’Outaouais has said that two nurses from the Hôpital général juif in Montréal could come and lend a helping hand to Shawville’s nursing staff. On Friday, TVA said that this time the interruption was in general surgery.
