In a Facebook post shared last Saturday, the MNA for Pontiac and Minister of Transport André Fortin shared a photo of the coalition avenir Québec showing the head of the CAQ François Legault with one of their candidate, Caroline Proulx, and her uncle, the well-known radio host and columnist Gilles Proulx.

In his post, André Fortin denounced what he describes as the choice of the CAQ to put forward Gilles Proulx after he spoke as part of the 2016 CHIP-FM radiothon where he gave a lecture on the history of radio in Quebec, and shortly Gilles Proulx had, in his column of the Journal de Montreal, called the Pontiac a back water region where the Loi 101 has no reach. Gilles Proulx had, in this column dated May 29, 2016, reproached Andre Fortin for swearing loyalty in English to the Queen.

André Fortin says we deserve better from François Legault. There have been plenty of reaction to the post online.

The Gilles Proulx column from May 29, 2016 can be found here.
