In a post via his Facebook account, Pontiac MNA and Official Opposition House Leader André Fortin reacted to the increase in COVID-19 cases in the Outaouais. The increase in cases in the MRCs of Vallee-de-la-Gatineau and Papineau could cause these two territories to move from the orange zone to the red zone. However, André Fortin says that the MRC Pontiac does not deserve to be changed to red.

“In the Outaouais, the City of Gatineau and the MRC des Collines are in red. The MRCs Vallee-de-la-Gatineau, Papineau and Pontiac in orange. But the cases are increasing rapidly in Papineau and the Valley and these MRCs could turn red. So I asked the authorities to consider the reality of each MRC individually, rather than painting the entire region red. If the epidemiological situation of the MRC Pontiac does not deserve red (there are still very few cases), the MRC should remain in orange ” affirmed André Fortin. The MNA for Pontiac made this statement last Friday evening (December 11).
