After a violent storm on Monday night and a major blackout, Alleyn-and-Cawood’s telephone lines stopped working for several hours. The municipality says the incident did not have an impact on the residents. “Hydro Quebec and Bell Canada have been quick to meet our needs. It seems to this day that there has been no major impact on our municipality during the breakdown,”said Administrative Assistant Sheila Emon.
According to the municipality, Bell repaired the municipal office phone line on Tuesday afternoon. At the time of writing, some residents of the village were still affected by the blackout and still did not have access to their phone line. However, most would have already contacted their telephone service provider to resolve the situation.
