Accident in Chichester: 19-year-old man could face impaired driving charges

Shortly after 1:00 pm, on May 19th, the Sûreté du Québec made their way to Chichester, at the intersection of Nichabau Road and the old Nichabau Road, in regards to a vehicle that had gone off the road. The driver, a 19-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The two people who were on board the vehicle were evaluated by the paramedics on the spot, but no transportation to the hospital was necessary.

The driver was later arrested and released. He is scheduled to return to court in Campbell’s Bay at a later date where he could face impaired driving charges and dangerous driving. According to the latest information from the Sûreté du Québec, the investigation is ongoing.
