20 February 2018 à 12:00 am

Pontiac MP William Amos posted a message on his Facebook page about upcoming government efforts on the recognition and implementation of Indigenous Peoples’ rights. Mr. Amos said , that in the Pontiac riding no treaty or self-governing agreement was negotiated, despite the demands of the Algonquin Nation. He says he is actively thinking about ideas that could contribute to reconciliation in the Pontiac region and is consulting with aboriginal communities and organizations on this issue. He invites those interested to submit their ideas via his email to William.Amos@parl.gc.ca
