The CHIP 101.9 radiothon held last weekend allowed the organization to collect many donations and contributions from individuals and businesses.

Although the total amount has not been fully accounted for, the organization had exceeded the initial $ 12,000 goal.

The event kicked off on Saturday with Country en folie and continued until Steve Jackson’s Troubadour at 4PM Sunday.

This Saturday, former journalist and news anchor and host Simon Durivage was the speaker in front of a packed house. He discussed his history in the news industry, local issues and responded to various questions from the public.

Director General of CHIP 101.9, François Carrier said his expectations for the 2017 Radiothon had been surpassed.
